Batumi
Batumi’s Black Sea climate brings humid summers, cool damp winters and rain throughout the year. Autumn can be particularly wet. A breathable waterproof layer and shoes that grip wet paving belong in every season’s bag.

Beijing
Beijing has cold, generally dry winters and hot summers with most rain concentrated in the warmer months. Spring and autumn bring useful walking weather, with layers needed for cooler mornings and evenings.

Berat
Berat-area ERA5 reanalysis for 1991–2020 indicates hot, relatively dry summers and cooler, wetter winter weather. These modelled grid estimates are not station normals or forecasts. Stone lanes and exposed castle paths make grip, sun protection and adjustable layers useful; mountain or canyon outings need separate preparation.

Bergen
Bergen’s coastal weather stays changeable and rainy throughout the year. Winters are comparatively mild but can turn icy; Fløyen feels more exposed than the harbour. Monthly values are calculated from NASA POWER MERRA-2 gridded daily data for 1991–2020 at the city coordinates. They represent a regional model cell, not a city weather station. Street shade, coastal exposure, elevation and urban warmth can differ. Climate averages do not predict an individual trip.

Bern
Bern-area ERA5 estimates for 1991–2020 indicate cold winter mornings, warm summer afternoons and precipitation in every season. These gridded city-area estimates are not station normals or forecasts. Bring removable layers, rain protection and shoes with grip; covered arcades do not shelter every river path or viewpoint.

Bled
Bled-area ERA5 reanalysis for 1991–2020 indicates cold winter mornings and warm summer afternoons, with precipitation throughout the year. Bring removable layers, rain protection and shoes with grip. This regional model baseline is not a forecast or a description of higher Alpine trails, and snow in a photograph does not establish current lake or path conditions.
Open city guideThe little things worth knowing

A first weekend in Aalborg
Give Aalborg one waterfront-and-city day, then choose art or archaeology for the second. That keeps the fjord crossing and museum openings from becoming last-minute surprises.

Aalborg: Kunsten, Kildeparken and a tower choice
Choose Kunsten for art and Alvar Aalto’s architecture, with a park pause on the approach. Aalborg Tower is a separate seasonal viewpoint, so check it before making the climb the purpose of your day.

Aalborg: Lindholm Høje as a separate half-day
Lindholm Høje lies across the fjord from central Aalborg. Give its stone settings and museum a separate half-day, with the indoor opening calendar checked before you travel.

Aalborg: the older centre and a named pub stop
Use Aalborg’s old streets for a compact walk between the centre and fjord. A specific pub stop can make a useful finish, but the architecture and public streets remain the route’s main purpose.

Aalborg: Utzon Center and the Limfjord waterfront
Aalborg’s waterfront lets you compare a working fjord city with newer cultural buildings. Use the Utzon Center as the main interior, then keep the outdoor route flexible in wind.
