Tangier bay, city beach and palm-lined corniche curving towards Malabata
Morocco

Tangier

Summers are warm and usually dry; winter brings substantially more rain. Wind from the strait can change how a sunny day feels, especially on the corniche and at Cap Spartel. Bring removable layers and shoes with grip for sloping medina streets.

Estonia

Tartu

Tartu-area ERA5 reanalysis for 1991–2020 suggests cold winters, mild-to-warm summer days and precipitation throughout the year. These modelled grid averages are not station normals or forecasts. Shoes with grip, removable insulation and a hooded shell fit the hill paths and riverbank.

Uzbekistan

Tashkent

Tashkent has hot, mostly dry summers and cold winters that can bring frost and snow. Spring is more showery, while early autumn usually suits outdoor sightseeing. Plan summer walks early, use museums for a midday break and check the forecast for winter cold spells.

Thessaloniki’s waterfront and White Tower illuminated at night
Greece

Thessaloniki

Hot summer afternoons and cool winters call for seasonal layers; waterfront wind and Ano Poli hills affect how an outfit feels. Monthly values are calculated from NASA POWER MERRA-2 gridded daily data for 1991–2020 at the city coordinates. They represent a regional model cell, not a city weather station. Street shade, coastal exposure, elevation and urban warmth can differ. Climate averages do not predict an individual trip.

Tirana

Tirana-area ERA5 reanalysis for 1991–2020 indicates mild but wetter winters and hot, drier summer days. These are modelled grid estimates, not station measurements or forecasts. Wear adjustable layers for the square and lake; check a separate mountain forecast and the operator’s calendar if adding Dajti.

The little things worth knowing

Historic brick façade along an Aalborg street

A first weekend in Aalborg

Give Aalborg one waterfront-and-city day, then choose art or archaeology for the second. That keeps the fjord crossing and museum openings from becoming last-minute surprises.

Aalborg Tower among trees at sunset

Aalborg: Kunsten, Kildeparken and a tower choice

Choose Kunsten for art and Alvar Aalto’s architecture, with a park pause on the approach. Aalborg Tower is a separate seasonal viewpoint, so check it before making the climb the purpose of your day.

A serene sunset over Aalborg harbor with silhouetted sailing ships against a vibrant sky.

Aalborg: Lindholm Høje as a separate half-day

Lindholm Høje lies across the fjord from central Aalborg. Give its stone settings and museum a separate half-day, with the indoor opening calendar checked before you travel.

Exterior view of John Bull Pub in Aalborg with outdoor seating on a clear day.

Aalborg: the older centre and a named pub stop

Use Aalborg’s old streets for a compact walk between the centre and fjord. A specific pub stop can make a useful finish, but the architecture and public streets remain the route’s main purpose.

Industrial waterfront and silos reflected in Aalborg’s Limfjord

Aalborg: Utzon Center and the Limfjord waterfront

Aalborg’s waterfront lets you compare a working fjord city with newer cultural buildings. Use the Utzon Center as the main interior, then keep the outdoor route flexible in wind.
