Kilkenny Castle and its grounds from above
Ireland

Kilkenny

Kilkenny has cool winters and generally mild summers. Rain can interrupt sightseeing in any month; use removable layers rather than relying on a dry season. Met Éireann’s published Kilkenny normal covers 1978–2007, an older period than the other Irish pages. It describes historic local seasonality and may understate present-day warmth; it is not a current forecast.

Kota Kinabalu

Hot and humid all year. The historical city series is relatively drier in February–April, with the lowest rainfall in March; September–November is wetter. Island conditions depend on the sea and the day’s forecast, not just the monthly city average.

Kraków

A city-area ERA5 reanalysis calculation for 1991–2020 suggests cold winter mornings, warm summer afternoons and precipitation throughout the year. These are modelled grid averages, not local station normals or forecasts. Old Town cobbles, shady Planty paths and the exposed Wawel approach call for removable layers and reliable footwear.

Kuala Lumpur

Hot, humid conditions last all year. June–July are relatively drier in the historical station series, while April and October–November are wetter. Even in a drier month, bring rain cover and plan shaded breaks.

Kuldīga

Kuldīga-area ERA5 reanalysis for 1991–2020 indicates chilly winters, mild to warm summer days and precipitation throughout the year. These modelled grid estimates are not station observations or a forecast. Take adjustable layers and footwear for wet paving and river paths.

The little things worth knowing

Historic brick façade along an Aalborg street

A first weekend in Aalborg

Give Aalborg one waterfront-and-city day, then choose art or archaeology for the second. That keeps the fjord crossing and museum openings from becoming last-minute surprises.

Aalborg Tower among trees at sunset

Aalborg: Kunsten, Kildeparken and a tower choice

Choose Kunsten for art and Alvar Aalto’s architecture, with a park pause on the approach. Aalborg Tower is a separate seasonal viewpoint, so check it before making the climb the purpose of your day.

A serene sunset over Aalborg harbor with silhouetted sailing ships against a vibrant sky.

Aalborg: Lindholm Høje as a separate half-day

Lindholm Høje lies across the fjord from central Aalborg. Give its stone settings and museum a separate half-day, with the indoor opening calendar checked before you travel.

Exterior view of John Bull Pub in Aalborg with outdoor seating on a clear day.

Aalborg: the older centre and a named pub stop

Use Aalborg’s old streets for a compact walk between the centre and fjord. A specific pub stop can make a useful finish, but the architecture and public streets remain the route’s main purpose.

Industrial waterfront and silos reflected in Aalborg’s Limfjord

Aalborg: Utzon Center and the Limfjord waterfront

Aalborg’s waterfront lets you compare a working fjord city with newer cultural buildings. Use the Utzon Center as the main interior, then keep the outdoor route flexible in wind.
